Bareilly: The Excise Department continues its crackdown on illegal activities with a series of coordinated raids across roadside eateries and restaurants near the Uttarakhand border. Acting on intelligence inputs, the department’s team conducted a thorough inspection of several establishments on Monday.
While no narcotic substances were recovered during the search, restaurant and dhaba managers present on-site were issued stern warnings. Authorities made it clear that if any banned substances are found on the premises in the future, strict legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.
To strengthen surveillance in border areas, beat constables and local informants have been put on high alert, particularly around roadside restaurants and marriage halls operating near the Uttarakhand boundary.

This operation follows a similar drive conducted by the Excise Department, where multiple locations across the district were raided and subjected to intensive checking.

The department reiterated its commitment to curbing illegal activities and maintaining vigilance in sensitive areas. The public has been urged to report any suspicious behavior related to narcotics or illegal liquor trade.
